2003 Obi Obi Valley Farm

For some years I owned a beautiful 55 acre farm in the Obi Obi Valley in the Blackall Ranges in QLD.  I set up a huge lined area in the farm shed, and also worked on the veranda of my old Queenslander homestead. This was probably the most beautiful place I have ever lived in. It was hard work keeping it all going by myself, and eventually I gave up and sold and moved on to Fremantle in order my sons could experience living in the city.  It is the place I miss the most. And yet I went back there a year or so ago as it was for sale again.  The place was quite a mess, and I was so tempted to take it back and fix it up again, but remembered the problems.  There is no internet connection other than dial up speed still...no mobile reception, and lots and lots of other bits and bobs that I rely on these days for communication and running my business.  But still...I get little butterflies in my tummy even looking at these photos. I am so glad my sons got to experience this.
